Police in Queenstown have found a vehicle they believe is linked to a kidnapping in the resort in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The white four-door Mitsubishi Lancer saloon, found at a Queenstown home, will be forensically examined on Thursday.
Police say a 28-year-old Cromwell man was ambushed by about half a dozen people and threatened with weapons before being driven to Arrowtown, where he was dumped on a roadside.
The police still want information on sightings of the Lancer, as well as a yellow Toyota Altezza.
