A woman has died after a head-on crash on State Highway 1, south of Dunedin.
Police say the crash happened about 1pm on Monday, 5km south of the Allanton turnoff to Dunedin Airport.
The woman was driving south when her vehicle collided with a car heading north.
The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries and was taken to Dunedin Hospital.
The police serious crash unit is investigating.
