10:46 am on 17 July 2009

An agribusiness course being offered for the first time at the University of Waikato, started this week.

The university says initial course will give a broad over-view of New Zealand agribusiness and the theories relevant to its decision-making.

The paper will be taught by PhD student Kevin Old, a director of the Tatua Dairy co-operative, who says the subject is an important one for the region.

He also sits on the boards of the National Animal Identification and Tracing scheme, New Zealand Animal Evaluation Ltd and the Dairy Companies Association of New Zealand.
