Wineries in Marlborough are checking for any damage from the earthquakes.
The Yealands Estate winery in the Awatere Valley was the closest to the quake epicentre off the coast near Seddon.
Owner Peter Yealands said the losses were minimal.
Wine Marlborough wineries general manager Marcus Pickens, said reports other wineries indicate that they have got off lightly.
He said wine tanks were all very full, which reduced their wave motion inside.
