Wool prices rose by up to 10% at this week's North Island sale, driven by limited supplies and a price resurgence in other markets.
Nearly all of the 9400 bales on offer were sold.
Fine crossbred fleece was up to 6% dearer than last week's South Island sale, and coarse cross bred wool fetched 5% to 10% more.
Prices for New Zealand merino wool sold in Australia this week also had their biggest lift in almost two years.
