Frozen lamb prices lifting

3:18 pm on 11 November 2013

Meat exporters are starting to see a lift in frozen lamb prices.

With chilled lamb processing finished at most plants, the focus is shifting to the frozen trade.

NZX Agrifax market analyst Nick Handley says the prospects for that are looking up, because of the tight supplies coming out of New Zealand.

Mr Handley says a pending beef supply shortage in New Zealand's biggest export market, the United States, is also positive for the industry here.
