The chief executive of Fonterra's RD1 rural supply company, John Lea, has stepped down after seven years at the helm.
Mr Lea's position as RD1 chief executive was one of his duties as general manager of Fonterra Enterprises.
Sarah Kennedy will take up the role in November.
Ms Kennedy is a trained veterinarian and has held a number of senior executive positions, including chief executive of Healtheries NZ.
