The 22-year-old Southlander Natalie Wiegersma finished just 1/100th of a second inside the qualifying time for the London Olympics in the women's 400 metre individual medley in 4:41.74 in Auckland yesterday.
Wiegersma who battled shoulder injuries for much of last year says she has trained harder than ever before and says it was a relief to make the qualifying time.
Wiegersma says it takes some pressure off when she goes for the 200 medley.
