The Canberra Raiders have been fined $12 thousand following coach David Furner's criticism of the referees after his side's loss to Manly in Sunday's National Rugby League match.
Furner was furious following the 18-12 loss at Brookvale Oval, with his side being on the wrong end of a an 8-3 penalty count.
The Australian Rugby League Commission says coaches, officials and players are able to criticise decisions but Furner had overstepped the mark by questioning the integrity of the referees.
The Raiders will have five days to appeal the fine.
