Good day for Black Jacks

6:10 am on 27 November 2012

An unbeaten third day at the World Bowls Championships in Adelaide has boosted the New Zealand team at the halfway point of qualifying.

After six of the eleven rounds in the men's singles and fours along with the women's pairs and triples competitions, the New Zealanders are in contention to appear in the next phase of competition in at least three.

Although the men's fours combination of Richard Girvan, Ali Forsyth, Matt Gallop and Tony Grantham are under threat of missing the elimination rounds, the group is upbeat with the knowledge that five rounds remain and 'anything can happen'.

Men's singles player Shannon McIlroy is second equal, while the women's triple and women's pair are both third in their group.
