Former Australian netball captain Liz Ellis is among a host of sport stars recognised in this year's Australia Day honours list.
Ellis, who represented Australia in a record 122 Test matches over 15 years, is appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
The Australia Day honours recognises a host of Olympic gold medallists, while former Wallaby Tim Horan, Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, world surfing champion Wayne Bartholomew are also honoured.
