A Twente Enschede fan has been sentenced to 12 months in prison, six of them suspended, after injuring a police officer before the Dutch football club's UEFA Cup game in Marseille this week.
A Marseille court also banned the 34-year-old fan from entering French territory for two years.
The fan, who was drunk, admitted to hitting the police officer on the head with a bottle.
Twente beat Olympique Marseille 1-0 in the last 32 first-leg match.
