Alun-Wyn Jones will captain Wales for the first time in the Six Nations rugby match against Italy in Rome next weekend.
Wales coach Warren Gatland has made 10 changes and a positional switch from the side that lost 21-16 to France in Paris last weekend - a defeat which ended the team's hopes of consecutive Grand Slams.
The only players retained from the Paris starting side were Ospreys lock Jones, full-back Lee Byrne, wing Shane Williams and No.8 Andy Powell with Cardiff's Jamie Roberts moving from inside to outside centre.
