The Wellington Saints beat the Auckland Stars 99 - 92 in their National Basketball League match in Auckland, while in New Plymouth the Manawatu Jets beat the Taranaki Dynamos 90 - 78.
That loss leaves the Dynamos rooted to the foot of the table while the Saints head home with two wins from their Auckland double header road trip.
Mike Efevberha scored 42 points for the Saints.
