The New Zealand men's hockey team has missed out on a place in the final of Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia.
The Black Sticks drew one-all with Malaysia in their final pool match overnight to finish third after the round-robin stage.
New Zealand will now face Pakistan in the play-off for third and fourth tonight. Malaysia will face India in the tournament decider.
