The Australian Rugby Union might soon make public the salaries of their leading players.

The issue has been raised by the Wallabies prop Matt Dunning as one of a number of forwards who claim it's harder for them to secure salaries that match those of attacking players.

The ARU's chief executive John O'Neill says he'll raise the matter with the Players Association which the Sydney Morning Herald says is open to discussions, though it could be a sensitive issue with some of their members.

The ARU revealed recently that of the top-10 earners in Australian rugby last year, there was a 50-50 split between forwards and backs.
