The British and Irish Lions head coach Ian McGeechan has arrived with his squad in South Africa promising that his team will rise to the challenge that lays before them.
The Lions kick off their intensive 10-match tour of the country against a Royal XV in Rustenberg this weekend and McGeechan, who tasted success in South Africa as a Lions player in 1974 and as their coach on their last visit in 1997, believes his players will not struggle for motivation.
The Scotsman believes the tour will be more difficult than 12 years ago when his team clinched a 2-1 victory over the then world champions.
