The Northern Bulls first five Morne Steyn is the only uncapped player named in South Africa's rugby squad for the three Tests against the British and Irish Lions.

Steyn played a key role in the Bulls' record-breaking victory in the Super 14 final against the Chiefs on Sunday morning, contributing 19 points and finishing as the tournament's leading scorer.

The utility back Earl Rose, who toured Britain last year without making his Test debut, was also named in the 28-man squad.

The first Test is on the 20th of this month.
