Teenage golfer Danny Lee has missed the cut at the $7 million John Deere tournament in Illinois.

Lee bogeyed the last two holes of his second round and missed the cut by one shot. As he started the last hole the cut was projected at minus four and it seemed Lee needed to birdie the hole to make it to the money rounds.

However, the cut was later made at three under.

Darron Stiles fired a second-round 65 to lead the tournment by three shots from fellow-American Steve Stricker..

Stiles, who produced seven birdies and one bogey, should face a close challenge from Stricker, after the world number eight tore up the leaderboard with a tournament record 61.
