The Brisbane Broncos have continued their late season NRL resurgence with a shock 12-2 victory over the table-topping St George Illawarra.
The victory was Brisbane's third in a row to keep them entrenched in the top eight, while for the Dragons it was their first back-to-back losses of 2009.
Broncos captain David Taylor scored the only tries of the game - one in each half and each coming after the Dragons fumbled high balls to gift Brisbane attacking possession.
Also on Friday night, Parramatta beat the Wests Tigers 26-18 at the Sydney Football Stadium to register their sixth consecutive National Rugby League win.
The teams were 8-8 at half time but Parramatta claimed the match with a Jarred Hayne try near full time to move into sixth place on the NRL table, while the Tigers are seventh.
