The former Kiwi league star Jarrod McCracken has called in a Melbourne underworld figure to try and recover a multi-million dollar debt he claims is owed by a former close friend.
McCracken and Harry Kakavas made fortunes from the Gold Coast property boom, but the Sydney Morning Herald reports the pair had a serious falling out three years ago when McCracken slammed Kakavas' head into a glass door on Kakavas wedding day.
McCracken, who was a groomsman at the wedding, claims the high roller gambler owes him 6.5 million dollars which has been used to pay gambling debts in the Uniteds States and Australia.
