Big Manu to mark 200th game

Warriors wing Manu Vatuvei, the club's record tryscorer, will bring up his 200th game for the rugby league club when they host the Wests Tigers at Mt Smart on Saturday.

The man nicknamed "the Beast" will become only the third player to appear in 200 games for the Auckland based side, joining Stacey Jones and captain Simon Mannering.

"Never, ever thought that I would ever make 200," he said.

"You know, growing up as a little kid and making my debut, I never thought that I would get to this stage.

"But I'm just lucky and blessed that the club had a lot of confidence in myself that I can still do the job and fit the picture that they'd like to see."

Vatuvei is playing in his 12th consecutive NRL campaign, another Warriors record.
