5 world champions in national single sculls final

8:23 am on 19 February 2010

Five sculling world champions will contest the men's single sculls final at the National Rowing Champs on Lake Karapiro tomorrow.

4-time world champion Mahe Drysdale, 2002 world champion Marcel Hacker of Germany, lightweight champions Peter Taylor and Duncan Grant, and 2-time under 23 world champion Jo Sullivan will all take part along with experienced international Nathan Cohen.

Drysdale is going for his sixth national title and this is arguably the most competitive field he has raced in - but his current form suggests he is going to be hard to stop.

The finals beging today.
