World Cup threat remains on minds of Black Sticks

12:45 pm on 19 February 2010

The New Zealand men's hockey team will be looking to restore some pride when they meet Australia in the second and last match of their series in Perth tonight.

The Australians won the opening game 7-1 on Wednesday night.

The 2 sides are preparing for the World Cup in India later this month, although the Black Sticks scheduled departure for Delhi is on hold until New Zealand Hockey has more information on the reported Al Qaeda threat.

Coach Shane McLeod says while they're doing their best to think about hockey, the security issue remains with them.
