Pace bowler Peter George and the Pakistan-born batsman Usman Khawaja are outside chances of making their Test cricket debuts as illness and injury dog the Australian team's build-up to this week's second Test against Pakistan.
The Tasmanian swing bowler Ben Hilfenhaus is yet to test out his injured left shoulder before the Headingley match while Marcus North sat out training in Leeds with a stomach upset.
Hilfenhaus injured his shoulder diving in the field on the final day of Australia's 150-run win over Pakistan last week at Lord's.
But vice captain Michael Clarke says they're hopeful Hilfenhaus will be fit and North will recover in time for the Leeds game.
