Still no word on meeting Pakistan meeting

4:53 am on 29 July 2008

The players association is still waiting to hear back from New Zealand Cricket on when they'll meet to discuss whether the Black Caps will travel to the Champions Trophy tournament in Pakistan in September.

Half a dozen of the current Black Caps squad have told Players association manager Heath Mills they don't want to make the trip while Mills says he certain others don't want to go but are afraid of making their position known as it may affect their place in the side.

The ICC has ordered another security report on the situation in Pakistan, which it will receive in a couple of weeks and Mills expects until then there's little New Zealand cricket will be able to do.

Should New Zealand Cricket opt out of the competition, under ICC regulations, it would face a $10 million fine.
