The Wellington Phoenix football side will host Melbourne in the final of the A-League's Pre-Season Cup after both sides secured top place in their groups.
The Phoenix upset Sydney FC 3-2 in Wollongong last evening while the Victory defeated defending A-League champions Newcastle 1-0 in Port Macquarie.
The Phoenix came from two goals down at halftime to secure both the win and a home final on Wednesday because of their superior competition points.
First-half goals to Alex Brosque and Ian Fyfe had put Sydney FC ahead, but the Phoenix hit back through Troy Hearfield, Shane Smeltz and new recruit Leilei Gao to top group B.
