Cambo believes he's turned the corner

Michael Campbell believes he's turned a corner after his first back-to-back top-10 finishes on the European golf Tour in nearly five years.

Campbell's share of 10th place in last weekend's Johnnie Walker Classic was the second occasion in succession he had finished top-10 this year after being placed eighth in last fortnight's KLM Open in Holland.

He says he's certainly turned a big corner the last two weeks and really since the British Open it's just been a matter of staying patient.

While he concedes his career has been a saga of highs and lows, Campbell says it's true he's been in a trough for some time but his efforts in the KLM Open and now to finish 10th at Gleneagles just shows me that all his hard work is starting to pay off.

Campbell will play the European Masters in Switzerland this weekend.

Campbell has now won a quarter of a million dollars on the European tour this year and has moved up to 329th on the world rankings while Mark Brown continues to be the leading world ranked New Zealander at 79th.

Japan Tour based David Smail is currently ranked 123th whilst the U.S. Tour based Tim Wilkinson is 310th.
