The former Wallaby Wendell Sailor has capped his rugby league comeback with selection in the Prime Minister's XIII team named today to play Papua New Guinea later this month.

St George Illawarra's Sailor was named on the wing in the 18-strong squad to play the Kumuls in Port Moresby later this month.

The 34-year-old has played just eight NRL games in his return to league after serving a two-year suspension for cocaine dating back to his time with the New South Wales Waratahs in Super 14 rugby.

It is the former Queensland and Kangaroo winger's first league representative jumper since his last season back in 2001.

Parramatta workhorse Nathan Hindmarsh has earned a chance to reclaim his Test jumper by being named captain of the team while Jarryd Hayne, Scott Prince, Carl Webb, Luke O'Donnell and Craig Wing are the other former Kangaroos in the side.

The Mal Meninga-coached squad was picked from the 10 NRL clubs no longer involved in the finals series.
