The New Zealand Breakers' winning double last week in the Australia National Basketball league has been tarnished by a citing from Saturday night's match in Townsville.
NBL officials announced yesterday that guard Phil Jones had been cited for allegedly striking Townsville's Shawn Redhage and will have to appear before the league's tribunal.
The Breakers remain second on the NBL table behind Melbourne's South Dragons who continue their remarkable resurgence under coach Brian Goorjian.
