The New Zealand Breakers have moved to the top of the Australian National Basketball League ladder after beating previous leaders the South Dragons from Melbourne 112-98 on the North Shore.

The Breakers controlled the pace of the clash throughout as it led at the close of each quarter before comfortably sealing its fourth consecutive win.

Breakers guards CJ Bruton and Kirk Penney were instrumental scoring 27 and 20 points respectively, however it was a complete team performance from the side with big men Rick Rickert (10 points, 10 boards) and Oscar Forman (12 points, 13 boards) notching double-double performances while Tony Ronaldson shot 19 points and six rebounds.

Legendary South Dragons coach Brian Goorjian praised the Breakers saying they're the best team they've played offensively in the half court.... they have a system that has been a four- or five-year build by coach Andrej Lemanis and they've got better and better and better.

The Breakers now have a record off 11 wins and 3 losses.
