Opener Andrew Strauss became only the second England batsman to score a century in each innings of a test against India as he put the tourists in control in the first Test.
Strauss hit 102 not out and took his overnight fourth-wicket partnership with Paul Collingwood, who's 93 not out, to 201 as England reached 244 for three at lunch on day four, extending their overall lead to 319.
