The Wellington Phoenix football side has defeated the Central Coast Mariners one nil in a round 16 Australian A-league game in the capital.
The win lifts the Phoenix to fifth on the league ladder.
Phoenix striker, Shane Smeltz has scored his 10th goal of the season, in just the game's second
minute, to keep the Phoenix right in the mix for a top-four spot.
