American world tennis number one Serena Williams has pulled out of the US Open as she's still recovering from foot surgery.
Williams, who won her 13th grand slam at Wimbledon earlier this year, cut her right foot on broken glass at a restaurant in July and has not played since.
The US Open begins at the end of August at Flushing Meadows in New York.
