Boomers belt Germany.

Australia's beaten Germany 78-43 to move within reach of the knockout stage at the men's basketball world championship in Turkey.

After starting with a win over Jordan then a two point loss to the world's top-ranked side Argentina the Boomers stunned the Germans, winning every quarter.

A win over Angola or Serbia, who lost to Germany by one point, will enough for Australia to progress from Group A.

And if they win both games they'll avoid finishing fourth which would mean a likely crossover match against the United States.

New Zealand play Lebanon early tomorrow after losses to Lithuania and the champions Spain.
