PCB chief criticised for England accusations.

The Pakistan Cricket Board's chairman Ijaz Butt has been accused of making ridiculous match-fixing accusations against England which would further isolate Pakistan from the rest of the cricket community.

Former board chairman Khalid Mehmood says it's ridiculous for Butt to accuse some England players of enormous amounts of money to lose the third one-day match.

Mehmood says Butt should have gone to the ICC or the police instead of ensuring his country may lose the support of a board that has been very helpful since teams have refused to tour Pakistan because of security reasons.

And two former PCB chairmen, Shaharyar Khan and Tauqir Zia, say Butt's irresponsible remarks could have already done irreparable damage.

The England and Wales Cricket Board has rejected Butt's suggestions, which follow police questioning of four Pakistan players over allegations of spot fixing in the test series against England.
