Mystics too good for Tactix

11:14 pm on 7 April 2011

The Northern Mystics have kept their trans-Tasman netball championship playoff hopes alive with a 58-45 over the Canterbury Tactix in Auckland.

The Mystics were in control for most of the match and shut out the Tactix in the third quarter with strong defense and smart attacking play.

The match, postponed from the third round after the February 22 earthquake in Christchurch, was a home game for the Tactix and doubled as a fun-raiser for netball in Canterbury.

Cathrine Latu top-scord for the Mystics with 29 goals and the former Silver Ferns Donna Wilkens got 31 for the Tactix.
