The Gold Coast hooker Nathan Friend has signed a two-year deal with the Warriors and will join the National Rugby League club from next year.

Friend, who was close to playing for Queensland in last year's State of Origin, has played 97 games for the Titans since their debut season in the NRL in 2007.

He began his career with the Brisbane Broncos in 2004 and spent four years with the Melbourne Storm as back-up to Kangaroos hooker Cameron Smith, playing in the 2006 grand final before joining Gold Coast.
