The manager of the Premier League English football side Aston Villa, Gerard Houllier, has been admitted to hospital in Birmingham.
The 63-year-old Houllier, who had major surgery after suffering heart-related problems in 2001 when he was manager of Liverpool, is said to be in a comfortable condition but will have to remain in hospital for several days for a series of tests.
