St Helens have climbed to the top of the UK Super League with a late 22-10 win over Castleford while Warrington were knocked off the summit by Hull.

A last-gasp try from former New Zealand international Francis Meli and a Jamie Foster conversion earned St Helens their victory after they had trailed by eight points.

Hull recovered from 10-0 down to record a 24-10 win that knocked Warrington off top spot.

Warrington had looked on track to consolidate their Super League lead after early tries from Joel Monaghan and Rhys Williams.

Meanwhile champions Wigan eased past lowly Wakefield 26-0 with Sam Tomkins, Josh Charnley, Joel Tomkins, Pat Richards and Sean O'Loughlin all scoring.
