The Queensland Reds winger Digby Ioane's been found guilty of breaching Super Rugby's code of conduct after criticising New Zealand referee Keith Brown on social media site Twitter.
Ioane called Brown the the worst ref ever after his side's loss to the Hurricanes in Wellington on Friday night.
He was fined $2,500 by SANZAR judicial officer Nigel Hampton QC and issued a formal caution.
Hampton severly reprimanded Ioane and warned him about his future use of social media saying his status compelled him to use social media responsibly and urged him to pass this message on to his fellow players.
Ioane must also write a letter of apology to Brown.
