Kate McIlroy has returned to top level triathlon with a second place finish at the Asian Cup Triathlon in Seoul.
McIlroy, the former world mounting running champion, underwent achilles tendon surgery during the off season and her return to the sport has been a slow process.
Meanwhile Kris Gemmell has finished second at an event in New Orleans, that was reduced to a duathlon because of high winds on Lake Pontrachain.
