Men's third seed Roger Federer has scored a straight sets victory over local hope Gael Monfils to surge into the semi-finals of the French Open in Paris.
The Swiss star was hardly tested during the match although he was taken to a tie-break in the third set.
He'll now meet second seed Novak Djokovic in the last four.
Fourth seed Andy Murray completed his held over 4th round match against Serb Viktor Troicki with a 7-5 victory in the final set.
Murray will now play unseeded Argentinian Juan Ignacio Chela in the quarter-finals.
In the two women's quarter-finals, defending champion Francesca Schiavone of Italy beat Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to set up a semi-final with 11th seed Marion Bartoli of France who beat Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia.
