Turbos beat Magpies to reclaim Kel Tremain Memorial Trophy

Manawatu rugby's celebrated its 125th Jubilee game in style with a 32-23 bonus point win over Hawke's Bay in Palmerston North, reclaiming the Kel Tremain Memorial Trophy for the first time since 1996 in the process.

Manawatu led 11-9 at half-time through a try to Turbos halfback Aaron Smith but the lead changed four more times before No.8 Hamish Gosling bundled over for the match-sealing try with two minutes to go.

Tomasi Cama and Casey Stone also scored for Manawatu while Ryan McLeod and Sinoti Sinoti dotted down for the Magpies.

In the night's other ITM Cup action, Northland host Tasman in Whangarei in another Championship clash then it's a Premiership derby as Wellington welcome Taranaki.
