Aussie cricketers win again

6:00 am on 15 August 2011

The Australian cricketers have beaten Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in the second one day international in Hambantota.

Just as they did in the seven-wicket win in game one, captain Michael Clarke and his predecessor Ricky Ponting guided Australia to their victory target of 209 with half-centuries as the tourists moved 2-nil ahead in the five-game series.

Ponting's assured 90 not out was the highlight of the match for Australia while Clarke finished unbeaten on 58 as Australia cruised past Sri Lanka's score of 208 with 11.4 overs remaining.

The next game is at the same venue tomorrow with the final two matches to be played in Colombo.
