The English golfer Justin Rose held his nerve down the stretch carding an even-par 71 to claim a two-shot win at the BMW Championship in Illinois.
After starting the week outside the top 30 in the FedExCup standings, Rose will be among those playing for the 12 million dollar season-ending Tour Championship in Atlanta next week.
Rose led throughout the tournament to finish on 13 under par, two ahead of Australian John Senden.
Another Australian Geoff Ogilvy finished third to book his place at the Tour Championship and a Presidents Cup berth.
