Woods wary of fast greens at Presidents Cup

The former world number one Tiger Woods says his third place finish at the Australian Golf Open was a major confidence boost ahead of the Presidents Cup but says it will count for little with the Royal Melbourne course a completely different kettle of fish from The Lakes in Sydney.

Woods finished on 11 under par two shots behind Australian winner Greg Chalmers, recapturing some of the form that made him such a final round force in the past.

The 14-times major winner says while his Australian Open performance was a shot in the arm, he knows he and his American team-mates face an even tougher challenge against the Internationals in Melbourne.

The Presidents Cup begins on Thursday.
