Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a woman's body at a Wellington house.
The 42-year-old was found in a bed at a house in Rolleston Street, Mt Cook, on Friday.
Police say they are carrying out inquiries on behalf of the coroner to establish how the woman died.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Donna Howard says a post-mortem examination will be held on Friday night.
Ms Howard says police inquiries include talking with people who were with the woman on Thursday night.
