Thousands affected by internet dial-up glitch

Telstra Clear has fixed a technical glitch that left thousands of its customers without internet connection for much of Tuesday.

The hardware failure was affecting the authentication process for the ClearNet and Paradise dial-up internet services, but not broadband customers.

Telstra Clear says it does not know what caused the fault, but has apologised to customers affected.
