The Dalai Lama has accepted an invitation to return to New Zealand.
He last visited in June last year when about 10,000 people in Auckland and 3,000 in Wellington, attended his public talks.
He will return to Auckland in December 2009.
The Dalai Lama Visit Trust says the Dalai Lama usually speaks on a topic of world or human interest.
It says these visits are increasingly precious because of his age - he's 73 - and it's fantastic he's accepted the invitation to come back.
